We
are not just a health club!
Not everybody knows that the
Edward M. Armfield, Sr. Civic & Recreation Center
does a lot more than just provide state-of-the-art
health facilities and programs.
We also...
are the area’s largest childcare provider
are home of the Pilot Mountain Senior Center
help build stronger communities every day through
our support of collaborative efforts from programs
like East Surry Little League, Pilot Mountain Soccer
Association, Surry County School facility use
agreement
help build stronger families through our
programming, like before & after school, drop-in
child care for parents to use while working out,
youth sports, summer camp and swim lessons
help attract economic development to the Pilot
Mountain area through programming such as annual NSA
Girls Fast Pitch Tournament (June & October),
Concerts and other amphitheater events, developing
Pilot Mountain Park nature park to include over
two-mile of walking trails.
The best part is that the Armfield Civic and
Recreation Center and coordinating agencies provide
all of the services listed above (and many more) to
all people, regardless of age, race, religion or
ability to pay. We are a nonprofit organization
(qualifying under Section 501(C)(3) of the tax code)
and an affiliated agency of the Pilot Mountain
United Fund.
That’s why we depend on generous donations made by
members, staff, individuals in the community,
foundations, and local businesses. Click on any of
